Best Friends

My best friend growing up just recently moved in, a couple houses down from us. It has been so much fun having her so close. When we were kids we always talked about living by each other and raising our kids together and now it is actually happening! ..even though it will only be for a short time. She has a son, Kade, that is three months older than Evan. He's such a cutie. They don't really play with each other yet but it's still fun to see them together:)

Kade pushing Evan over lol. Poor E is just trying to look cute for the camera.
BFF's

6 Months!

Evan went to his six month check up last week! I felt like such a bad mom because the doctor said he had two ear infections, one in each ear, and I had no idea. I felt terrible, but other than that everything was great. Here is what's new with him:
*he weighs 17.4 lbs which surprisingly only put him in the 50% percentile
*he's 26.3 inches long
*his head is 17.6 inches around (79%)
*the doctor is a little worried about his flat head but he has until he's 3 before they will give him a helmet (which is his dad's biggest fear)
*he can sit up by himself
*he has already learned how to fake laugh.. don't ask where he learned it
*he hates pears and green beans
*he loves drinking water
*he is a really good sleeper (I hope I didn't just jinx it)
*no teeth yet
*he is very ticklish everywhere but especially under his armpits and his thighs
*he loves playing in his Jumperoo
*he loves it when I sing The Itsy Bitsy Spider song to him
*he has gone swimming a couple times but doesn't know exactly how he feels about it yet
*he still spits up a little but it has gotten a lot better since I have started giving him probiotics
*and he is completely adorable

The Shoes...

After Evan was born, Garrett's Grandma Faylor's sister sent him a present, which was very sweet of her considering that I have never even met her. But anyways.. in the box were the cutest shoes and the cutest suit for Evan to wear to church (pictures of the suit to come). They are so cute that I didn't want Evan to even wear them but in the card she said that he is supposed to, so I put them on him the other day... have I mentioned that they are super cute? Well.. here are some pictures.

He looks so handsome in the little suit too but I forgot to take pictures of him. I will next time though.

So, this is not the best picture but I wanted to put it on here. On Monday I went to my mom's house and made some really cute burp rags. The on in the picture in one of them. I was so excited about this one because the fabric I put on it is SO stinking cute. Well... Evan has decided that he will not put his head on my shoulder when the rag is on it. He just can't take his eyes off the robots lol. This is what he looks like every time I burp him. I can't decide if he likes them or if he is scared of them...? He's so crazy :)

5 Months!

Evan turns 5 months today! It seems like he has changed so much in this past month.. it's crazy. My new favorite thing is to take pictures of him in his bumbo because he looks so funny in it. He is getting a lot better but at first he had a really hard time holding his head up. I don't blame him.. it is quite big.

So, I didn't want to write a lot because I am not very good at writing but I wanted to tell you what happened a couple weeks ago. So I was reading the book Dumbo to Evan before bed and there is a part in it where Dumbo sneezes and it said to say "achoo", so I said it, and Evan started busting up laughing. He thought it was hilarious! It was SO funny because I wasn't even trying to make it funny or anything. I have heard that babies like that sound but we had never done it to him before and before then he didn't really laugh at anything unless we tickled him.. so it was really random.

Anyways.. here are some pictures of this last month. My baby is getting so big!

More of Evan

Evan rolled over for the first time last Sunday! I have been trying for a week now to put the video of him doing it on here as proof, but I have failed miserably. It has been very frustrating so I just gave up. I guess you'll just have to take my word for it. Garrett and I actually missed it the first time he did it. I put him on his stomach to do his daily tummy time but got distracted watching the Oscars, and the next thing I know, he's on his back. It was very exciting lol.

Here are just a couple new pictures of him. Nothing too exciting but I feel like his looks are changing so much so I wanted to put them on here.

What a Goof

This is what he looks like 24/7 now days. He is constantly blowing bubbles and drooling everywhere.Lately after I feed him I'll put him on my lap and he pushes off my legs until he is upside down like this. He loves it! So now we have to do it every time he eats. He would do it for hours if I would let him but it makes me a little nervous so I only let him do it for a minute.

I came down stairs the other morning and Garrett had put him in his chair with all this crap piled on top of him. He does the craziest things sometimes! Doesn't Evan looks so frightened?
It is so fun to see his personality starting to come out. Garrett and I lay in bed every night and just talk about how crazy and fun he is and how much we love him. He is such a goof ball!
