I was a little hesitant to post these pictures, just because I hate looking at them, but I promised some people I would.  While Garrett and I were running the RRR, my mom was watching Evan for us and while he was there he started getting a rash.  It actually started the day we left and I told my mom to watch it because I noticed it was getting worse as the day went on. I wasn't too worried about it but by the time we were done running on Saturday it has gotten SO much worse, and kept getting worse until about Monday morning.  We took him to the doctor after the race on Saturday and they told us it was an immune reaction, which I guess is different from an allergic reaction,  from the antibiotics he was taking for an ear infection.  She said the rash was a result of his immune system going crazy and that it would probably last from 10 days to 2 weeks.  You can kind of tell my the picture, but the welts were big circles and inside the circles were either blisters or scabs.  The poor little guy looked so sad!  They didn't seem to bother him all the time, but there were times where he wouldn't stop rubbing his hands and arms on his stomach so you could tell they were really itching him. We decided to have Garrett and his dad give him a blessing on Sunday night because he looked so uncomfortable and was having a hard time sleeping. That night he slept great and woke up looking 10 times better the next morning.  It was completely gone by Tuesday.

You can barely see them but the top of his head was bright red with blisters towards the back.

RRR

A few weeks ago, Garrett and I ran the Red Rock Relay.  It was a lot of fun.  Our team name was "Stars and Staches," and we were pretty much the coolest team there.  We all wore mustaches and dressed in red, white and blue in honor of 9/11 (the race was that weekend), and because Garrett loves America.  I do too, but not as much as he does :) He's crazy about it. Anyways... it was tons of fun but really exhausting.  We started at 8:25 Friday morning and finished at about noonish on Saturday.  The boys van was so fast that our van only got to sleep for about an hour, so we were very tired by the end. I can't wait to do it again next year!
We took 44th place out of 200 teams.

 "Stars and Staches"

This is me after my first leg. I'm not exactly sure where I was running, somewhere on Cedar mountain, but it was in the middle of a thunderstorm! If you know me at all, you know that I HATE lightning.  I'm so afraid of it and I have it in my mind that getting struck my lightning is how I am going to die. I honestly though that was the end for me... but luckily it was not.

Garrett looking very sleepy

Next up... the marathon!!! Yikes.. I'm so nervous
